it may be coincidence, but i noticed that both the annual meeting and a recently reported bethel speaker brought up the matter of the.

watchtower's false predictions, a bit more openly than usual.

a potentially dangerous perception may be emerging ( hooray!).

It's hard to keep up on this board as to what was answered already or topic started. I am sorry.

Anyway, I was wondering. I know (or pretty sure) that the JW bible use the plural form of nails when talking about Jesus being hung on the cross.. err. in the NWT I mean stake. But I heard and read (on sections while searching for this topic) that the WTS teaches it was only one nail. Can someone clarify that for me.

HOW does someone find out who HAS their own "Myspace" sites?

You cannot 100% know, sometimes people put their true names in so it makes it easy to find, others such as the ones in the mentioned article can create fake ones.

Also as mentioned, you cannot be sure who you are really talking to.

That's why on mine, although I have all true information it is minimal so people don't know my whole life story from a click of a botton.

I just finished reading that. That is the first time I have heard of that story. I have heard of other stories. It is sad that kids today are so mean that they would say something so hurtful. Even sadder that the person being told these words have to end it completly by ending their lives.

People can be so crule

Angels, Angels everywhere! (need research help)

just wondering what the societies official stance is on angel decorations or figurines??.

i guess i did not pay too much attention to this when i was in the borg, probably assuming they would believe having such things in your home was either; opening it up to satan or that it is a form of idolatry.. this q came up in a conversation with my brother today because i was telling him about a new angel figurine i bought for my collection (starting collecting about 3 years ago) and he used to study with the witnesses, so he is like "isn't having those against the bible?".

he swears he was told this by the elder he studied with but cannot recollect a scripture to support this view.

I don't believe or think having angels in your home is a form of idoltary. I personally think they are pretty to look at too. As you said, it's not like you are praying to or worshiping them. Just as I see the Cross as a symbol of my religion (not catholic though- in case someone is wondering) I don't pull it out and pray or kiss it. It's just a reminder (cross, stake, tree) regardless of ones belief, Jesus died for us and the cross is my belief. My JW friends do think though that the cross is wrong and I shouldn't carry it because it is idoltary, but oh well. If I am personally confronted by the LORD about it I will ask for forgiveness and be accepted in heaven to sit on my little white fluffy cloud.

Jesus was the Root and offspring of David, as well as the Bright and Morning Star.

For those who are unfamilar or have little knowledge with grammer and punctuation might see this as David being the Bright and Morning Star.

I know the NWT isn't the only one who leaves this out, but if the NWT was the true and correct bible, then you'd think they would make this adjustment so there isn't any confusion.

Anti-Virus, WHICH ONE????? HELP !!!!

i have used norton security and anti-virus protection for 2 years.

i downloaded from norton, for what i think was $89.00.

it expires tonight.

I use defender pro 10 n 1 has it all.

I have another program on my other systems that I cannot remember the name to. I bought from fry's it works up to three computers, for about $50 and you get a second year for free.

Norton slows your computer and takes a lot of memory and is annoying to set up because at first you have to okay each program and you have to know when you are wanting your computer to go somewhere or if you are being hacked and tracked.
